In 2021, NUS Design Incubation Centre initiated a research project with DID students on dialogue with the living. The “Alive” Design platform thus generated many concepts, from practical to discursive, demonstrating that Design could address the complex topic of Climate Change through different strategies, allowing a reconnection with Nature through contemplation, questioning, interaction, understanding and awareness.

Presented at Paris Design Week in September 2022 and Bangkok Design Week in January 2024, the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (LKCNHM) invited the Division to present a revamped version of this exhibition within its space for the Singapore Design Week September 2024.
 Our rendition of this exhibition revolves around the theme 'Our Secret Garden'. Typically, a garden is a human curation – an ironically unnatural collection of nature. Gardens are constructed and manipulated by humans, sitting on a fine line between stewardship and exploitation. Our Secret Garden explores our hidden and personal relationships with nature, and how our influence can simultaneously harmonise and disrupt natural order.
